What is SHR IPL Technology?
SHR stands for Super Hair Removal. It’s a huge step forward in permanent hair reduction and is the most advanced way of removing unwanted hair.
SHR is faster than traditional IPL and Laser, it’s safer and it’s painless in comparison.
How does SHR work?
SHR is a revolutionary approach. Rather than bombarding your skin with high amounts of Joules (energy), SHR fires multiple shots but at low Joules. In doing so it gently heats the hair follicle to the heat needed and the most you will feel is warmth and a tingling sensation, some clients compare it to a warm massage. SHR also utilises In-Motion technology, where the hand piece is always in motion on the skin.
Is SHR suitable for all skin and hair types?
SHR is suitable for all skin types, even tanners, and all hair types including white. This is achievable because of the technology and techniques utilised. Unlike traditional Laser and IPL, SHR can be had all year round without having to hide from the sun.
Is there any pain?
Absolutely painless, this is achieved by SHR technology and InMotion techniques, to give painless treatment.
How many treatments are needed?
To fully treat the area, you may require 6-10 treatments at four week intervals. A four week regime is important to maintain so that the SHR treatments get the hair at its four week re-growth. Near the end of the treatments, 6-8 week intervals will be needed to finish off your course.
Broadband Light (BBL) Technology
BBL technology minimises the number and intensity of discoloured blemishes on the skin and ultimately makes skin more uniform in tone. It can treat age spots, small facial veins, rosacea, freckles and brown spots, fine lines and wrinkles, large pores, and even acne. Your skin will be smoother and more vibrant, and it will have a more youthful appearance as a result. A painless treatment, most often described as a shot of heat that dissipates immediately after. There is absolutely no down time and patients may return to daily activities immediately after.
Electrolysis Hair Removal
This is a permanent hair removal method that uses an electrical current to destroy hair follicles, preventing future hair growth.
Here's a more detailed explanation:
How it works:
A thin probe (needle) is inserted into each hair follicle, and a small electrical current is passed through it, damaging or destroying the hair follicle's growth cells.
Types of electrolysis:
There are different types of electrolysis, including galvanic, thermolysis, and blend methods, each using a slightly different electrical current or chemical reaction to destroy the follicle.
Permanent hair removal:
Electrolysis is considered a permanent method of hair removal because it destroys the hair follicle, preventing future hair growth in that area.
FDA Approved:
Electrolysis is the only FDA-approved method for permanent hair removal.
Areas of the body:
Electrolysis can be used to treat hair on various body parts, including the face, lip/chin/monobrows, underarms, bikini line, nipples and tummy line.
Who needs it:
People who want permanent hair removal, regardless of skin type or hair color, can consider electrolysis.
Electrologist:
Electrolysis is typically performed by a trained and licensed electrologist.
Side effects:
Some temporary side effects, like redness or swelling, may occur, but they usually subside quickly.
